Easy Reader article (September 23, 2010) on Blue Whales off Palos Verdes

Click on the link from the Easy Reader (Beach Cities) for article on blue whales in local waters.   There is a video at the bottom of the article which you can also view.   After viewing the pictures and video in the article, you can see how close the blue whales are feeding on krill off the Palos Verdes coastline (or 1.5 to 2 miles off the Redondo Beach Pier at King Harbor).  Voyager tours have been jam packed and going on same is a one in a lifetime opportunity this year because the ocean temp has been much cooler than normal (great for the krill but not so good for us ocean swimmers).
