Animals in Japanese Art at LA County Museum of Art
In lieu of the DRT field Trip previously planned for the Chen Galleries in Torrance, now closed for renovations, our docents visited LACMA to view the Animals in Japanese Art exhibit on November 19, 2019 with lunch afterwards at the Drago Restaurant at the nearby Peterson Museum on Wilshire Blvd.:

Review: From sacred monkeys to mysterious

Do animals play such a pervasive role in
the art of any other culture? Exquisite examples power an exhibition on view at
LACMA through Dec. 8.
