50 Years of Docent Service

The following is a collection of prints taken from the scrapbooks (which explain why they look the way they do) beginning in the docent classes from 1972 plus pictures taken on docent field trips and staff parties. Fortunately, the pictures get better thereafter. Click on the arrow to start the 15 minute plus video and double click to enlarge the video screen. At the lower left of the screen is a pause button which you can press to pause (stop) the video in order to review the details (still not very clear but almost readable). In the lower right there is a button to return to normal size to view the pictures following the scrap book pics. One final note: Don't forget to turn your computer speakers on to listen to the music that goes with the pictures. This video was prepared for the 50th Anniversary Party on June 19, 2012 and placed here in the docent blog. Enjoy.....

From Ann Cantrell on Microraptors

This was sent to me from my nephew in North Carolina.  Does anyone know about Microraptor?  The four wings are intriguing.  The video at the end of the article has great shots of our dino hall and Dr. Chiappe. ~~Fly~~ http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/08/microraptor-dinosaur-fossil-shows_n_1333039.html
